João Nápoles Sarmento

João is an associate at BMA.

 

He finished his law degree from Faculdade de Direito da Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa in June 2012.

In 2018, he attended a Post-Graduation in Insolvency Law at Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Lisboa and in 2020 he attended a Post-Graduation in Sports Law at Faculdade de Direito da Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa.

He was admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association in 2015.

João worked as a trainee lawyer and associate lawyer at the law firm Eversheds Sutherland FCB. Between September 2022 and April 2023 he worked as a senior lawyer at Castro Neto Advogados.

João has been representing and advising clients in disputes and in legal matters, mainly focusing on civil, commercial and corporate law, insolvency, urban lease, criminal, misdemeanour and administrative law.
